A full face mask offers a comfortable alternative to a nasal mask and can provide effective treatment for patients with sleep-disordered breathing, specifically, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and respiratory insufficiency. A full face mask cam improve the sleep quality of patients who experience mouth leak during nasal ventilation. Mouth leak causes reduced sleep quality, sleep fragmentation and decreased sleep efficiency which may ultimately affect patient compliance. Alternative techniques used to reduce mouth leak such as chin restraints can be uncomfortable and ineffective for some patients.

Mask Series 2 offers the ultimate in patient comfort and performance.
For patients who experienced mouth leak during therapy, the original Mirage Full Face Mask offered new standards in performance, comfort, and durability. Mask seal and stability have now been further enhanced with the introduction of a new mask frame an cushions. Additional enhancements to the headgear have further improved the overall comfort and performance of the mask.

COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE
The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 features a soft, contoured cushion that conforms
to the face to provide a secure seal. When inflated by air pressure, the patented dual
wall cushion gently floats on the face, resulting in reduced headgear tension. Because
the cushion is shaped around the nose only the soft membrane comes in contact with
the sensitive nose bridge.
Two unique cushion types are now available to fit your full range of patients. This will be
of particular benefit for patients with lower nasal bridges, high cheek bones, or receded jaw lines.
Mask seal is further improved with the inclusion of a forehead stability arm. This improved seal provides optimal bilevel and CPAP therapy at high and low pressures.

The unique five point headgear enhances fit and stability with a circular design that cups the crown of the head. The Mirage Full Face Mask series 2 introduces the next generation of headgear material; Breath – O-Prene.

Breathe-O-Prene draws moisture away from the skin while allowing air to circulate through the material. This increases headgear breath ability and significantly reduces moisture problem and skin irritations associated with other fabrics.

DURABILITY

All components of the Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 are designed to be long-lasting and easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 headgear is made of more durable polyurethane spandex and nylon. The Velcro adjustment tabs are welded to the straps without adhesives, securing the tabs to the straps more effectively.

SAFETY

Minimal deadspace, superior air flow characteristics, and built-in air vents reduce CO2 rebreathing.
Even at he lowest pressure setting, the Mirage Full Face Series 2 provides an excellent CO2 washout rate.

The built-in anti-asphyxia valve ensures the patient breathes room air if the flow generator ceases to operate. In an emergency, the patient can pull a Qucik Releasse Tab that is attached to the headgear sothe mask will immediatley fall away form the face. The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is hypo-allergeenic and contains no latex or neoprene.

EASE OF USE

The Mirage Full Face Mask Series 2 is easy to fit. To assist the patient with their fist fitting, the mask comes fully assembled. Clear use instructions are included and describe the disassembly, cleaning and re-assembly of the mask tin the home and clinic.
